Can hepatitis c be transmitted via saliva?

My roommate recently tested positive for Hepatitis C. We share a lot of things in our small apartment. I'm especially worried about things like water bottles. Can Hepatitis C be transmitted via saliva?

No, it doesn't spread through saliva. I checked this with my doctor when my roommate was diagnosed, so you can share food without worrying.

Actually yaar, it is a blood-borne virus, so saliva has no risk. Just don't share toothbrushes or razors and you are totally safe.

Our specialist confirmed that saliva does not carry enough virus to transmit Hep C. It is strictly a blood-borne infection.

Nahi, saliva se nahi failta ho na. Faltu me darna nahi chahiye, bas blood-to-blood contact se bacho aur safe raho.

No, saliva is safe. Just maintain basic hygiene and keep items like razors separate, as those can carry trace amounts of blood.

The doctors at our hospital confirmed that Hep C is not passed through saliva. I always recommend asking your doctor clearly to ease your mind.
