Can hepatitis be transferred through saliva?

My roommate recently got diagnosed with Hepatitis and I'm really anxious. We share utensils sometimes and I'm worried about cross-contamination. Can Hepatitis be transferred through saliva?

No, Hepatitis B or C is not transferred through saliva during casual contact like sharing food or kissing on the cheek. There is only a risk if there is actual blood mixed in the saliva, like from deep cuts or bleeding gums. Keep your toothbrushes separate and you're good.

Nahi bhaiya, thuk ya saliva se yeh bimari nahi phalti hai. Aap aaram se sath mein baith kar khana kha sakte hain, koi darne ki baat nahi hai. Bas saaf-safai ka thoda dhyan rakhein.

I am new to this and a bit shy to ask, but does this mean kissing is completely safe if someone has Hepatitis B? Or should we still be very careful and get tested first?

No need to worry, it doesn't spread through saliva! So sharing your favourite cold coffee is totally safe. Just keep smiling and stay healthy!

I was just reading about this online. Normal saliva doesn't carry enough of the virus to infect anyone, so sharing utensils is totally safe. It is only blood contact that we need to be careful about.

Look, I have seen many families deal with this over my lifetime. Saliva does not transmit the virus, so do not isolate your loved ones out of fear. Treat them with love and just make sure they follow their doctor's advice.

No, it is not transferred through saliva. Just like managing my diabetes requires focusing on the right habits rather than worrying about random things, preventing Hep B just requires basic blood safety and getting vaccinated.

When my kid was diagnosed, I was terrified of this. But the doctors reassured me that it is not spread through saliva, so family meals are completely safe. Just make sure no one shares toothbrushes because of potential gum bleeding.

At the hospital where my father got treated, the doctors made it very clear that saliva is safe and won't spread the virus. Still, I always recommend asking your doctor directly during your next visit to clear all your doubts.

Saliva does not pass the virus, so do not worry about sharing food. While keeping your mouth clean with salt water rinses is a good habit for general hygiene, it has nothing to do with preventing Hepatitis.

Nah bro, saliva doesn't transfer it. You can chill and share drinks with your buddies. Just don't share razors or get tattoos from shady places, that's where the real risk is.

Saliva isn't a medium for transmitting Hepatitis B or C under normal conditions. A simple and cost-effective rule is to label everyone's grooming kits at home so there is zero chance of sharing blades or toothbrushes.
