Can hepatitis b kill you?

My neighbour has had Hepatitis B for a long time and looks quite ill lately. It makes me wonder about the severity of the disease. Can Hepatitis B kill you?

It can become life-threatening only if it goes untreated for many years and leads to liver failure or cirrhosis. I have been living with chronic Hep B for over a decade now. By taking my daily antiviral tablets and doing my tests regularly, I am living a perfectly normal, healthy life.

Please do not lose hope or live in fear. While the virus can cause serious liver complications over a long time if neglected, yoga and a healthy lifestyle alongside medical treatment can keep you strong. Practice deep breathing to stay calm and follow your doctor's advice.

Only if it is completely ignored for years and causes severe liver damage. With proper treatment, it is highly manageable and you can live a full life.

It sounds very scary, but from what I understand, it is not a sudden death sentence at all. It is a chronic condition that can lead to severe issues like cirrhosis if left unmonitored. Just like we manage PCOS, this also needs careful monitoring and a doctor's guidance.

Nahi nahi, bilkul aisa mat sochiye. Agar samay par doctor ko dikhayenge aur parhez rakhenge, toh kuch nahi hoga. Hamare gaon mein bhi ek bhai ko tha, woh ab sahi dawai kha kar bilkul thik hain aur apna kaam karte hain.

I totally get it, seeing terms like 'liver failure' online can make anyone panic. But please remember that most people with Hep B live long, healthy lives with the right medication. You are not alone in this, and taking it one step at a time with your doc will help.

The virus itself isn't immediately fatal, but chronic infection can cause long-term complications like liver cancer or liver failure which are indeed dangerous. It's best to consult a specialist and monitor your viral load regularly. Medical intervention is very effective these days.

Dekho, darna band karo aur doctor ke paas jao. Agar dawai nahi loge aur laparwahi karoge toh liver kharab ho sakta hai, jo jaanleva hai. But agar regular checkup karwa rahe ho aur treatment pe ho, toh bindaas jiyo.

In extreme, untreated cases, yes, it can be fatal due to liver damage. But practically speaking, if you get diagnosed early and stick to your medication schedule, you can easily avoid those risks. Just treat it like any other manageable chronic issue.

It is true that untreated chronic Hepatitis B can lead to fatal liver conditions. Please consult a hepatologist immediately to start the right treatment plan.
