Can hemorrhoids cause fever?

I've been dealing with hemorrhoids for a while, and recently developed a low-grade fever. I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence or if hemorrhoids can actually cause a fever.

Simple hemorrhoids do not cause fever. However, if a hemorrhoid becomes strangulated, thrombosed, or infected, it can lead to complications like an abscess, which will cause a fever. If you have a fever along with severe rectal pain, please visit a doctor right away as it requires urgent attention.

Actually, normal piles don't cause fever, yaar. But if there is a severe infection or a clot, then fever can definitely happen. If you have a high fever with pain, please don't wait at home and go see a doc immediately.

Please keep your mind positive and do not worry. Usually, piles do not cause fever, but if the body is fighting an infection, temperature can rise. Take proper rest, drink warm fluids, and please consult a physician to guide you safely.

I had a bad case of piles last year and never got a fever. My doctor told me if a fever comes, it means there's an infection or an abscess forming. If you are running a temperature, just go to the doctor directly instead of trying home remedies.

Beta, normal piles do not give you a fever. If you are having a fever, it means there is heat or an infection in the body that needs a doctor's attention. You can do a warm sitz bath for local relief, but please see a doctor immediately for the fever.

With my high BP, I keep a close watch on any sudden bodily changes. A fever is not a standard symptom of piles, and it usually means something else is going on or there's an infection. Please get a proper medical checkup to identify the root cause.

When I had severe pain, the doctors at Fortis told me that a fever is a red flag for infection in that area. It is not a typical symptom of normal hemorrhoids. Please consult your specialist doctor immediately to find out what is causing the fever.
