Can hemorrhoid cause lower abdominal pain?

I have hemorrhoids and have also been experiencing some lower abdominal pain recently. I'm not sure if the two are related. Can hemorrhoids cause lower abdominal pain?

I have dealt with severe piles for years, and while they usually cause local pain, the constant straining can definitely lead to a dull ache in your lower abdomen. My best advice is to increase your fiber intake, drink at least 3 liters of water, and avoid sitting on the toilet for too long. If the abdominal pain is very sharp or sudden, though, please get it checked immediately.

I just recovered from a bad episode of hemorrhoids last month and yes, I felt a strange pulling discomfort in my lower stomach too because of the intense constipation. Sitz baths and a high-fiber diet helped me so much. But please visit a general surgeon once just to confirm nothing else is causing the stomach pain.

When I had this issue, I went straight to a specialist at Max Hospital because abdominal pain can sometimes be due to other underlying digestive issues. Don't try to guess if it is just piles or something else. It is always better to get a proper clinical evaluation to be 100% sure.

Because of my thyroid, I face chronic constipation which leads to hemorrhoids and lower stomach aches. I've realized that these issues are often interconnected. You should definitely follow up with a doctor and get routine blood tests done to see if a sluggish metabolism is causing your digestive troubles.

Hey there! Straining and constipation from piles can definitely make your lower tummy feel a bit sore. Try having warm water and high-fiber foods to make things easier. Don't worry too much, just consult your doctor to get some quick relief! 😊

I completely understand how uncomfortable this is, as the pressure from piles can easily radiate to the lower abdomen. Try drinking warm milk with a little ghee at night or taking Isabgol to soften your stool, as this relieves the abdominal pressure. But if the pain is severe or doesn't go away, please see a doctor.
