Can heart attack symptoms last weeks?

My husband has been having these occasional chest discomforts and arm pain for a few weeks now. Nothing severe, but it comes and goes. We are wondering if heart attack symptoms can linger for weeks like this, or is it always sudden?

An actual heart attack is a sudden danger and doesn't last for weeks. But sometimes, people feel a light pain or breathing trouble off and on for weeks before a major attack. Please do not ignore such signals and show a good doctor in the town immediately.

Strictly speaking, an acute myocardial infarction is a sudden event, but angina or warning symptoms of coronary blockages can manifest intermittently over several weeks. If you or a family member is experiencing this, self-diagnosis is highly risky. A cardiologist's evaluation is absolutely necessary here.

I had minor blockages that caused mild chest tightness for three weeks, which I ignored until I ended up in the ICU. The actual heart damage happens in minutes, but the warning symptoms can definitely linger or come and go for weeks. Please do not make my mistake and get an ECG done today.

For normal gastric issues, warm ginger tea or carom seeds can give you relief within a day or two. But if your chest tightness or breathlessness has been going on for weeks, home remedies will not cure it. This could be a sign of a weak heart or blockage, so please visit a doctor right away.

I just got discharged two weeks back after a stent procedure. I had a weird, heavy feeling in my chest and left arm that kept coming and going for about three weeks. I thought it was just bad posture, but it was actually warning signs of an impending attack. Go get your heart checked before it gets worse.

As someone managing diabetes, I know that we might not feel the sharp, sudden pain of a heart attack, and instead feel mild breathlessness or tiredness for weeks. These are critical warning signs of poor heart health. Please schedule a cardiac screening and keep your blood sugar under close check.

My dear, while a real heart attack is a sudden medical emergency, warning signs like chest discomfort, fatigue, or breathlessness can definitely repeat over several weeks. Please do not wait for the symptoms to become severe. It is always wiser to get a professional opinion and run some basic cardiac tests.
