Can heart attack symptoms last for months?

Ever since my heart scare last year, I still occasionally feel some of the symptoms, like breathlessness and a dull ache. Can heart attack symptoms really persist for months, or is this something else?

Bro, a heart attack is an acute emergency, so its symptoms won't just drag on for months. But if you are talking about chest tightness or breathing issues that come and go for months, it could be stable angina or even severe anxiety. Get a proper checkup done to be absolutely sure what's going on.

For diabetic patients, chronic heart conditions like poor blood flow can cause mild chest discomfort or breathlessness that persists for months. This is often a sign of underlying blockages rather than an active heart attack. Please schedule an appointment with a cardiologist to review your cardiovascular health.

I was researching this recently because my dad had a strange heaviness in his chest for a couple of months. It turns out that while a heart attack itself is sudden, underlying coronary artery disease can cause warning symptoms like chest pain to keep coming back for months. It is always best to get it evaluated.

A full-blown heart attack is a sudden crisis that requires immediate ER care, not something that lasts for months. However, if you are having recurring chest discomfort, you must consult a cardiologist at a proper hospital. They can run a stress test or angiogram to find out if there's an ongoing blockage.

Having thyroid issues taught me that systemic problems can cause long-term chest tightness and palpitations that feel like heart issues for months. An actual heart attack is sudden, but chronic heart disease or hormonal imbalances can cause ongoing symptoms. Please get a full blood panel and consult your physician.
