Can guys get kidney infections?

I've been having some pain in my lower back and feeling feverish lately, along with frequent urination. My friend said it sounds like a kidney infection, but I thought those were more common in women. Can guys get kidney infections too?

Yes, absolutely! Men can get them too, though it is slightly less common than in women. 💧 Drinking plenty of water is the best way to keep your kidneys flushed and happy. If there is pain or fever, please get a urine test done!

Yes, men can certainly get kidney infections, often starting from an untreated urinary tract infection or kidney stones. My mother always advised drinking barley water to keep the kidneys clean, which is good, but for an actual infection, you must see a doctor. Proper antibiotics are absolutely necessary.

Yes, men do get kidney infections. If there is severe back pain with high fever or chills, go to a hospital immediately as it is a medical emergency.

Don't waste time drinking random herbal juices or coconut water if you suspect a kidney infection. In men, a kidney infection can be quite serious and is often linked to prostate issues or stones. Verify this immediately with an ultrasound and a urologist's consultation.

Keeping the body hydrated and practicing simple deep breathing can support overall kidney health. However, a kidney infection is a serious matter that requires clinical attention. If you feel severe lower back pain and fever, please seek medical help without delay.

I totally get it, kidney pain can be absolutely unbearable and scary to deal with. Men can get kidney infections, and they can worsen quickly if ignored. Please don't wait for the pain to pass; get a doctor to write a urine culture test so you can get the right treatment.
