Can gluten cause migraine headaches?

Really bad migraine headaches hit me, especially after certain meals. Someone told me that gluten might be a trigger, so I wanted to ask if this is true.

My 14-year-old son used to get terrible migraine attacks every week. We did a food elimination test and found out gluten was the main trigger. Please get your child or yourself checked, it makes a huge difference.

If you have a busy job, migraines can totally ruin your productivity. I noticed my headaches were directly linked to heavy gluten meals during lunchtime. Try switching to a gluten-free diet for a week and track your triggers on an app.

At this age, even breathing seems to trigger my headaches! But seriously, cutting down on bakery products and wheat rotis actually reduced my weekly migraine attacks. Who knew giving up bread would save my head?

I ignored my headaches for years, thinking it was just work stress, till I ended up in the emergency room with severe vomiting. It turned out to be severe gluten intolerance. Please go to a doctor and get properly tested before it gets worse.

Since I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, gluten causes major inflammation for me, leading to brain fog and severe migraines. Regular blood tests and working closely with my endocrinologist helped me manage both issues.

I used to lie in a dark room crying for hours because of my migraines. Discovering that gluten was triggering them was a long, emotional journey, but it saved me. I completely validate how exhausting this is for you.
