Can gluten cause eczema?

My eczema flares up sometimes, and someone told me to try avoiding gluten. Can gluten really be a trigger for eczema, or is it just a myth?

Severe skin flares can be due to many things, not just food. Please visit a dermatologist and get a proper patch test or allergy test done rather than just cutting out random foods on your own.

I totally get it, dealing with itchy eczema flares is so frustrating and exhausting. For some people, gluten acts as a major trigger for skin inflammation. Trying an elimination diet for a few weeks might help you find out.

Honestly, giving up momos and parathas is painful, but so is scratching like a monkey all night! Gluten can definitely trigger skin issues for some of us. Try going gluten-free and see if your skin thanks you.

Bro, my roommate had crazy red patches on his hands and the doc made him stop eating wheat. Within a month his skin cleared up so much. Definitely worth checking if you are sensitive to gluten too.

In our typical Indian diet, we eat wheat daily. Try replacing roti with ragi or jowar bhakri for two weeks. It's cheap, healthy, and will easily show you if wheat is the culprit behind your skin rashes.

If you have gluten sensitivity, it causes systemic inflammation which commonly shows up as eczema. Stop guessing and get an IgE food allergy panel done. It saves time and gives a clear picture.

I have been suffering from dry, itchy skin on my elbows for months and nothing helps. Can gluten really be the cause? How do I start testing for this, should I stop eating wheat completely?

Actually, my eczema flares up every time I eat too much bakery food, yaar. Gluten is definitely linked to skin inflammation for some people. Maybe try replacing regular flour with rice flour for a bit.
