Can glp-1 cause heart attack?

My cousin recently started taking GLP-1 injections for his diabetes. I read somewhere online about some serious heart risks associated with these drugs. Can GLP-1 medications cause a heart attack?

I was researching this online and actually, most medical studies show that GLP-1 medications reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events like heart attacks. But obviously, if you have any heart conditions, you should confirm with your doctor.

I have high blood pressure, so I always check medication risks carefully. GLP-1 is generally considered safe and even beneficial for the heart. However, you must maintain a healthy low-salt diet and keep up with your regular doctor visits.

I am new to this medication and a bit scared. Does GLP-1 cause any chest tightness or anxiety when you first start it? I would love to know if anyone else felt this way.

Hey, from what my biology professor was saying, GLP-1 actually helps the heart by lowering blood pressure and cholesterol. So it shouldn't cause a heart attack, but definitely ask your doctor to be 100% sure.

My family always says to avoid stress for a healthy heart. Regarding GLP-1, it is clinically proven to support heart health rather than cause harm. Please consult your physician for peace of mind.
