Can gerd cause pain in chest and back?

Been having this burning sensation in my chest sometimes, and it even goes to my back. My chacha ji also has GERD and he mentioned similar pain. Is it possible GERD causes this kind of chest and back pain?

Our body signals us when there is too much heat or stress inside, and acid reflux can indeed cause discomfort in both the chest and back. Please keep your mind calm, eat simple foods, and do not worry. Just visit a doctor to get the right treatment for your physical healing.

Bro, I had severe burning in my chest that went straight to my upper back after eating spicy food. It was super scary, but the doc said it was just severe GERD and esophageal spasms. Still, chest and back pain can be serious, so go get an ECG done first to be safe.

I literally faced this last week where my chest and upper back were hurting together due to heavy acid reflux. I was terrified, but once the doctor gave me antacids, the pain completely vanished. Please don't sit at home worrying, go see a doctor to get the proper medicine.

My dear, severe GERD can definitely cause referred pain that starts in the chest and radiates to the upper back. However, any chest and back pain together can also indicate heart or gallbladder issues. Please go to a clinic and let a doctor examine you properly.

Please do not ignore chest and back pain thinking it is just simple acidity. I did that and it turned out to be a severe ulcer that required emergency medical care. Any combined chest and back pain needs immediate evaluation by a doctor to avoid serious complications.

I was researching this online and read that the nerves of the esophagus and back are closely connected, which is why GERD can cause pain in both chest and back. It's crazy how acid reflux mimics other things. Have you been to a doctor yet to confirm it's just reflux?
