Can gerd cause fever?

I've been dealing with GERD for a few years now, and usually, it's just acidity. But since last week, I've also been running a low-grade fever. Is it possible that my GERD could be causing this?

I deal with a lot of hormonal issues and digestive troubles, but fever is not a typical symptom of GERD. If you have a fever, it might mean there is an infection somewhere in your body. It is always better to be cautious and consult a doctor to find the real cause.

My dear, regular acid reflux or GERD does not cause a fever. If you are running a temperature along with stomach discomfort, it is likely a stomach infection, food poisoning, or something else. Please get plenty of rest and visit your family doctor for a proper checkup.

Haan na, GERD me fever to kabhi nahi suna maine. Acidity se bahut chest burning aur nausea ho sakta hai, par fever aana matlab koi infection ho gaya hoga. Aap please bina deri kiye doctor ko dikha lo aur medicine le lo.

According to my gastroenterologist, GERD itself is a mechanical issue where acid flows backward, and it never causes a fever. If you have a fever, it points towards an inflammatory response or an infectious gastroenteritis. You should definitely get evaluated by a physician.

Oh God, having a fever on top of acidity sounds so scary, I would be panicking too. GERD alone shouldn't cause a fever, so please make sure it's not a severe infection or appendicitis. Please see a doctor right away to get a clear answer and ease your mind.

A fever usually indicates that your body is fighting off some sort of pathogen, which isn't a symptom of standard GERD. It could be food poisoning or a viral bug affecting your digestive system. A doctor's advice is the best way to handle this safely and effectively.

I had a high fever with bad acidity last year and completely panicked thinking it was some severe lung issue from GERD. It turned out to be just a common viral stomach flu which caused both. Take a deep breath, get checked by a doctor, and you will be absolutely fine.
