Can gel cause dandruff?

I use hair gel every single day to style my hair, but lately I've noticed a lot of dandruff. I'm wondering if my daily gel usage could be the culprit. Can hair gel actually cause dandruff, or is it unrelated?

Yes, absolutely. I ignored my mild scalp flaking and kept using heavy styling gels, which completely blocked my hair follicles and caused severe seborrheic dermatitis. Please stop using the gel immediately and see a dermatologist before it worsens and causes hair fall.

Using hair gels can dry out your scalp and cause product buildup, which looks just like dandruff. Along with avoiding chemical gels, try focusing on a diet rich in zinc and healthy fats, like nuts and seeds, to keep your scalp healthy. Do consult a dermatologist if the issue persists.

Bro, don't stress too much! Gels just build up on the scalp if you don't wash them out properly, making it look like dandruff. Just take a break from styling products for a week and use a mild shampoo, it should clear right up.

Haan beta, ye sab chemical wala gel lagane se sir ki twacha sookh jati hai aur rusi ho jati hai. Hum toh bolenge thoda nariyal tel lagaya karo gel ke badle. Par agar rusi bohot zyada badh jaye, toh doctor babu ko zaroor dikha lena.

Haan na, gel use karne se scalp bohot dry ho jata hai aur fir dandruff shuru ho jata hai. It blocks the pores actually. Better to use a mild anti-dandruff shampoo and avoid styling for some days, ho na.
