Can gas cause vomiting?

Yesterday after a particularly heavy and gassy meal, I felt really nauseous and actually ended up vomiting. It felt like my stomach was just full of air. Is it possible for excessive gas to become so severe that it leads to vomiting?

Yes, extreme gas and acidity can make you feel very nauseous and even lead to vomiting. Please try to rest, sip on some warm water, and see a doctor if you can't keep fluids down.

Bro, yes! Last week during exams, I got so bloated and gassy from stress and late-night maggi that I ended up throwing up. Once the gas cleared out of my system, I felt instantly better.

In our family, we believe that when 'vayu' increases in the stomach, it can cause vomiting or a bitter taste. We carefully sip warm water with some parched cumin seeds. However, if the vomiting continues, you must visit a doctor immediately.

I have dealt with this severe gastric issue many times. When the wind gets trapped badly, it causes a lot of upward pressure and nausea. Chewing a little ginger or drinking warm lemon-water helps, but do visit a doctor if you vomit repeatedly.

No kidding, last night my stomach was so full of gas it felt like a pressure cooker about to explode. I had so much nausea I barely slept, and finally throwing up was the only thing that brought relief. Digestion is a nightmare sometimes!

Yes, bad bloating and acidity can definitely make you throw up! Try to sip some ginger-mint tea slowly, it works like magic to settle the stomach. Rest up and feel better soon!
