Can gas cause lower right abdominal pain?

I've been experiencing pain in my lower right abdomen, and it sometimes feels like a sharp cramp. I'm worried it might be something serious, but my friends say it could just be gas. Can gas cause pain in this specific area?

Yes, gas can sometimes settle on the right side and cause a sharp pain. Drink some warm water and try walking for 10 minutes to see if it clears. If the pain doesn't go away or gets worse when you press it, then don't ignore it and see a doctor.

Oh my god, I get so anxious whenever my lower right side hurts because I immediately start searching about appendicitis! But my doctor told me trapped gas in the colon is actually very common and can feel just as sharp. Try to stay calm and see if warm water helps.

Yes, trapped gas can cause sharp pain on the lower right side. However, please be careful to rule out appendicitis if the pain is severe.

While gas is a common culprit, lower right abdominal pain is also a classic sign of appendicitis. It is highly recommended to get a proper physical checkup from a physician if the pain is constant, sharp, or accompanied by fever.

My son had a sharp pain in his lower right stomach last week and we got so worried about his appendix. Thankfully, the doctor checked and said it was just severe gas from heavy food. But as a parent, I say if the pain is intense and doesn't reduce, please get a checkup immediately.

Usually, a little bit of warm water with hing can clear right-side gas pain within an hour. But if the pain is very severe and you feel like vomiting, please do not use any home remedies. Go to a hospital immediately to get it checked.

It can be really scary to feel pain on the lower right side of your stomach. While gas is often the cause, please rest and have someone nearby. If the pain doesn't go away in a few hours, please consult a doctor for peace of mind.

With our long sitting hours at work, gas frequently gets trapped in the colon bends, causing sharp right-side pain. If it is simple gas, a quick walk or drinking warm water should resolve it soon. If the pain is persistent, don't waste time and see a doctor.

Look, if you eat oily food and sit in one place, gas is going to build up and hurt. But remember, the lower right side is also where the appendix is. If the pain is sharp and constant, go straight to a doctor instead of trying remedies.

Actually yaar, gas can cause really weird, sharp pains in your right side. I got this intense pain last week and got super stressed. But after some hot water and walking around, it literally vanished. Still, if it hurts when you press it, go to a doctor.
