Can gallstones increase liver enzymes?

My recent blood test showed an increase in my liver enzyme levels. My doctor found I have gallstones and said they might be causing it. Is it true that gallstones can lead to an increase in liver enzymes?

I just got my blood reports back and my SGOT/SGPT are quite high, and my ultrasound shows gallstones. I am getting so nervous about this. Has anyone else experienced their liver enzymes going up because of stones? Please tell me what your doctor said.

My grandmother used to say that when the bile doesn't flow well, the whole body gets upset. Indeed, gallstones can block the bile duct and increase liver enzymes. While simple, oil-free food is good, you must trust your doctor's advice and get the proper treatment done.

Please be extremely cautious. My liver enzymes spiked because a gallstone blocked my bile duct, which led to a severe liver infection. Do not wait for symptoms to worsen; please see a gastroenterologist immediately to get it diagnosed properly.

Seeing high liver numbers on a report can be so terrifying and emotionally exhausting. I remember crying and thinking the worst when my gallstones caused my enzymes to rise. Please know you are not alone, and with the right medical care, these numbers do go back to normal.

I made the mistake of ignoring my elevated liver reports, thinking it was just from bad eating habits, and ended up needing an emergency procedure for a blocked duct. Please get a proper medical checkup done immediately. Don't repeat my mistake.
