Can gallstones cause left side pain?

My uncle recently had surgery for gallstones, and he kept complaining about left side pain before that. Now I'm also feeling some discomfort on my left side. Is it possible for gallstones to cause pain on the left side of the abdomen?

While gallbladder pain is usually felt on the right side or the center of the abdomen, sometimes it can radiate or feel like it is on the left side too. Please don't worry, but it is best to get an ultrasound to find the exact cause of your pain. Take care.

I recently recovered from gallbladder surgery and actually had vague pain on my left side too initially, which confused my doctor. It turned out to be radiating pain and gas. If you are having persistent pain, definitely get a scan done to be sure.

I panicked so much when I felt pain on the left side, thinking it was some other major organ failing! But my doctor reassured me that referred pain from gallstones can sometimes behave weirdly. It is totally normal to feel confused, just get a professional checkup done to ease your mind.

Hey! While the gallbladder is on the right, our bodies can play tricks with pain pathways, so left-side discomfort can happen. Don't worry too much, just visit a doctor to get an ultrasound done and clear all doubts. Stay positive! 😊

Usually, gallstone pain is on the right, but sometimes referred pain can be felt on the left. You can try drinking warm water with a little mint to soothe your stomach, but for proper diagnosis, you must see a doctor. Home remedies won't cure a stone blockage.
