Can flu shot give you a fever?

I got my flu shot yesterday morning, and since then I've been feeling a bit under the weather. My body feels warm and I'm wondering if this is a normal reaction. Can a flu shot actually give you a fever?

Yes it absolutely can, I got a mild fever and body pain after my shot last year. I just took rest for a day and asked my doc before going back to my morning walks. If your doctor says it is okay, light walking actually helps with the stiffness, but don't push yourself too hard.

My grandmother used to say any vaccine heat will bring a small fever, but it is always best to listen to the doctor. A mild temperature for a day or two is very common after the flu shot as the body builds immunity. Just take rest, drink warm water, and if the fever stays high, please call your physician.

Haan bilkul ho sakta hai, fever hona normal reaction hai na body ka. Mujhe bhi pichli baar thoda sa temperature ho gaya tha injection ke baad. Don't worry, ek-do din rest karo aur normal paracetamol le lo doctor se pooch kar, sab theek ho jayega.

I was actually reading up on this because I have to get mine next week. Turns out a mild fever is just your immune system responding to the vaccine, which means it is working. It should typically go away in 24 to 48 hours, but I'm keeping my doctor's number handy just in case.

Yes, a mild fever can definitely happen as the body awakens its natural defenses. When I got my vaccine, I experienced a heavy arm and a low temperature. I just practiced gentle deep breathing and drank lukewarm tulsi water, which really helped me feel calm while my body healed.

At my age, even a change in the weather gives me a body ache, so a flu shot definitely brought a small fever with it! It is just a minor side effect that lasts a day, nothing to get scared about. I just made some hot ginger tea, watched my favorite old serials, and was back to normal by the third day.

Honestly, I got a mild fever after my flu shot and used it as the perfect excuse to sleep for 14 hours straight. My body was aching, but honestly, that undisturbed sleep was a blessing in disguise. Just take a pill if your doctor told you to and use this time to catch up on some serious rest!
