Can flaxseed cause breast cancer?

I was told flaxseed is very good for women's health, but then I read somewhere that it contains phytoestrogens. My mother had breast cancer, so I'm worried. Can flaxseed increase the risk of breast cancer?

Um, I am actually a bit confused about this because I heard flaxseed is very healthy for women. Does it really have compounds that can affect estrogen and breast health? I wanted to start adding it to my breakfast but now I'm slightly hesitant.

If flaxseed caused cancer, half the fitness influencers on my Instagram feed would be in big trouble by now! Jokes apart, it is just a high-fiber seed that is actually quite good for health. No need to stress, but you can always ask your doctor to be 100% sure.

Haan na, there are so many scary myths online these days that it makes you scared of eating normal seeds also! Actually, flaxseeds are considered very healthy for women's health. Just eat them in limit, like a small spoon on your dahi, and talk to your gynecologist if you have any family history.

Flaxseeds are actually a wonderful natural source of fiber and omega-3. Most research shows they may help prevent cancer rather than cause it, but moderation is key—one teaspoon daily is plenty. However, if you ever feel any unusual lumps or changes in your breast, skip the home remedies and see a doctor immediately.

I have been eating a spoonful of roasted flaxseeds daily for many years now for my joints and digestion, and I have never faced any issues. These natural seeds are very good for the body when eaten in moderation. Don't let scary internet rumors make you panic, but do consult your family doctor if you have doubts.

With my PCOS, I always look into how seeds affect our hormones. From what I've read, flaxseeds actually contain lignans which might protect against breast cancer, not cause it. But since hormonal balances are so delicate and different for everyone, it is best to ask your doctor to be safe.

I went through a breast health scare recently and did a lot of research with my oncologist. They actually told me that moderate flaxseed consumption is completely safe and might even be beneficial because of its antioxidant properties. Still, always consult your own specialist for your specific health history.
