Can fibroids cause pain during sex?

Lately, I've been experiencing some discomfort and pain during intercourse, and I also have fibroids. I'm curious if my fibroids could be the reason for this pain.

I have been experiencing a lot of deep pain during intimacy lately, and I just found out I have fibroids. I am feeling so anxious and embarrassed to talk about this with anyone. Does anyone else experience this, or is it just me?

Haan na, this is actually quite common if the fibroids are near the cervix or lower part of the uterus. It gets very uncomfortable and painful. Please don't force yourself through the pain, and talk to your doctor openly about it.

Yes, they definitely can cause discomfort depending on where they are hiding inside! It is nothing to feel awkward about at all. Just consult your gynecologist and they can easily guide you on what to do next.

You can try sitting in warm water (sitz bath) to relax the pelvic muscles before sleeping, which helps with general pain. But since this involves internal pressure from fibroids, no home remedy can cure it. Please go see your gynecologist for a proper checkup.

Please don't ignore this pain. I kept avoiding the doctor out of hesitation, and my fibroid grew so large it started causing heavy bleeding and severe pelvic pressure. Getting an early consultation can save you from a lot of painful complications later.

I read so much about this and kept worrying that my marriage would suffer because of the pain. It is so easy to spiral into negative thoughts. But please try to stay calm, talk to your partner, and let your doctor suggest the best course of action.

Between running after my toddler and dealing with these painful fibroids, romance has completely left the building anyway! But yes, they can make things very painful depending on where they are situated. Go see a doc so you can at least get some peace of mind.

Ugh, yes, fibroids can make intimacy so painful, which honestly ruins my mood for everything, even my favorite comfort food! It is a real dampener. Definitely get a doctor to check the position of the fibroid so you can get back to feeling like yourself.
