Can fever come and go with flu?

I've been down with what feels like the flu, and my fever comes and goes throughout the day – sometimes high, sometimes normal. Is this fluctuating pattern typical for the flu, or should I be concerned?

I totally get it, this coming and going of fever is so frustrating. The exact same thing happened with me last month during my flu episode, it kept bouncing back every evening. Just rest up as much as possible and keep monitoring it, okay?

Haan, flu fever definitely behaves like this sometimes. When my whole family down with it, we drank warm tulsi-ginger kaadha three times a day and took steam which really helped soothe our throat. Just make sure you keep hydrated and consult your doctor if it stays high.

Yes, fluctuating temperature is pretty typical for viral infections. Don't try to sweat it out with a workout or run right now, as your body is weak. Just rest, and once your doctor says you are clear of fever for 48 hours, you can start with light indoor walks.

Bro, this flu fever acts like an annoying relative who says goodbye but then comes back because they forgot their keys! It is super normal for it to play hide and seek for a couple of days. Just eat your medicines and enjoy the excuse to binge-watch movies.

Yes, the body's natural defense mechanism can cause temperature fluctuations as it fights the virus. Do not exert yourself at all. When you feel a bit better, just sit quietly and do some gentle deep breathing to calm your nervous system.

This fluctuating fever is so worrying, especially when it happens to children. My daughter had this last month and it would peak every midnight. I kept checking her forehead and gave her warm soup to keep her energy up. Keep a close eye on the thermometer readings.

It can go up and down, but don't rush for expensive blood tests on the very first day. Wait for 2-3 days, keep checking your temperature at home, and only get CBC or malaria tests if the family doctor specifically asks for them. It saves unnecessary clinic expenses.

Honestly, the same thing happened with me last week! I thought my fever was gone in the morning, but by 6 PM my body started aching and shivering again. Just drink warm water, watch your favorite show, and give your body some time to fight it off.

Yes, I think it can happen, though I always get a bit extra careful with fever because of my PCOS struggles. I don't want to say anything too surely, but please don't push yourself to work when the fever goes down. Let your body heal fully before getting back to your routine.

Yes, it happens all the time with viral strains. The fever goes down when your medicine is active and comes right back after a few hours. Just get a proper consult from a physician instead of self-medicating.

I am not a doctor so I can't say for sure, but during my last flu bout, my temperature kept moving up and down for four days. I just took paracetamol as directed by my clinic and rested. If it goes beyond four days, you should definitely visit a professional.

I have faced this multiple times over the years. The fever cycle behaves exactly like this when the virus is still active in your system. Make sure you finish the complete course of medicine given by your doc, even if you feel completely fine on day three.

It is quite common for the temperature to fluctuate with seasonal flu. Don't worry, just keep a thermometer handy and write down the readings so you can show them to your local family doctor. Put cool wet cloth strips on your forehead if the heat rises too much at night.

Haan yaar, flu ka fever aise hi tang karta hai na. Subah lagega bilkul thik ho gaye aur shaam hote hi phir se body garam hone lagti hai. Apne aap ko thand se bachao aur thoda garm khichdi khao, jaldi relief milega.

In our times, we always knew that a viral fever takes at least three to five days to completely leave the body. Keep your chest covered, drink lukewarm water instead of cold water, and take rest. God willing, you will be fine soon, but do show a doctor if the heat is too high.
