Can fatty liver disease kill you?

A recent diagnosis of fatty liver disease came with my doctor's advice for lifestyle changes. My relative joked about it being a 'silent killer,' which has me quite scared. How serious is this condition, can fatty liver actually kill you if not managed?

My grandmother used to say the liver is very strong, but we shouldn't abuse it. If ignored for years, fatty liver can turn into cirrhosis, which is serious. Trust your doctor, follow their diet plan, and you will be fine.

If left untreated for many years, it can lead to severe liver failure, but simple fatty liver is easily reversible.

No need to write your will just yet! Fatty liver is just a warning signal from your body to stop eating so many chole bhature. Take it seriously, start walking, and you’ll live a long life.

I lost my sleep when I first read about liver cirrhosis on Google! Honestly, simple fatty liver is very common and reversible. Just change your diet and walk daily, don't panic yourself to death.

Actually yaar, it’s not an overnight threat, but if you ignore it for 15-20 years, it can damage the liver permanently. Best to start acting now rather than worrying later.

I had Grade 2 fatty liver and reversed it completely in six months with a strict diet and daily exercise. It is not a death sentence, just a lifestyle warning.

It shouldn't be taken lightly. I ignored my Grade 2 fatty liver and it led to severe fibrosis and other health scares. Please see a proper gastroenterologist and get regular checkups.

Simple fatty liver won't, but long-term liver inflammation can. I use my calorie tracker and smart scale to ensure my BMI stays in the healthy zone. Control your weight and you'll be safe.

As a diabetic, fatty liver can worsen other metabolic risks if ignored. Keep your sugar levels and weight under strict control to prevent any severe complications.
