Can fatty liver cause light colored stools?

With my fatty liver, lately, my stools are much lighter in color than usual. A bit concerned about this change, I wonder if fatty liver can actually cause light colored stools?

Yes, it can happen if bile flow is blocked. I ignored this symptom for weeks thinking it was just a stomach upset, and ended up with severe jaundice. Please don't make the same mistake, go get a checkup immediately.

Listen, light or clay-colored stool means there is some issue with bile secretion from your liver. It is not something you ignore or treat with pudina hara. Go see a doctor and get an LFT done right away.

When my father had this issue, the doctor at Fortis told us it happens when the liver isn't releasing enough bile. You should get a proper ultrasound and LFT. Ask your gastroenterologist clearly about bile duct blockage.

Whoa, that sounds a bit intense! I love my heavy street food but if things start changing color like that, it's a major sign to stop the cheese bursts and get checked. Better safe than sorry, buddy.

Yes, liver dysfunction can cause color changes in stool. Along with my high BP, I keep a close eye on any such digestion changes. Please consult a doctor and don't delay your routine checkup.

Beta, in my 60 years I have seen that digestion changes are the liver's way of showing stress. Don't worry too much, but do get a doctor to check it. Simple lifestyle changes and timely medicine can easily fix this.

It can be really scary to notice symptoms like this, I totally understand how anxious you must be feeling right now. Please don't panic. Just book a doctor's appointment so they can explain what is happening.
