Can fatty liver cause elevated liver enzymes?

My recent blood test showed elevated liver enzymes, and a scan confirmed fatty liver. I'm trying to understand if the fatty liver itself is the reason for these high enzyme readings. Is there a direct link between the two?

Beta, my SGPT was around 110 some years back due to fatty liver. I stopped fried foods, walked daily, and the levels came down to normal within four months. Do not worry, just follow your doctor's advice and keep your diet simple.

Yes, it does. I panicked so much when my SGOT and SGPT levels came out double the normal range, I literally thought my life was over. Please don't lose heart, levels do go back to normal once you start taking care of your health.

With my PCOS, insulin resistance led to mild fatty liver and elevated SGPT. It is a slow process to get those numbers down. I had to focus on managing my lifestyle gently without rushing into anything.

Absolutely, elevated enzymes are the classic sign of fatty liver. Get an LFT panel done, show it to a gastroenterologist, and cut down on alcohol and heavy carbs. It is a very manageable issue if you are disciplined.

I ignored my elevated enzymes for two years thinking it’s just gas or tiredness. It turned into severe NASH and caused me a lot of trouble later. Please take those high numbers seriously and get a regular checkup done.

Yes, it indicates liver stress. Drinking lukewarm water with lemon in the morning and having amla juice helps soothe the liver. But if your enzymes are extremely high, please don't wait and consult a doctor immediately.

Yes, high enzymes are very common with this. No need to spend thousands on fancy supplements. Just stop outside food completely, use very little mustard or sunflower oil at home, and repeat the blood test after two months.

Yes, absolutely! Elevated SGOT/SGPT is basically the liver crying for a little detox. Swap the junk food with fresh coconut water and green veggies, and those numbers will behave beautifully soon!

Yes, it definitely causes that. When I saw my blood report, I spent three whole nights reading scary papers on liver failure. It's really scary but usually, it's just mild inflammation from the fat. Definitely see a doc so they can reassure you.

Yes, desk jobs and eating canteen food leads to this. My SGPT shot up to 90 last year. I started packing basic home lunch and walking during my office calls. You have to actively schedule movement into your busy day.

Yes, when there is excess fat, the liver cells suffer and release these enzymes. Gentle yoga poses like Mandukasana and regular deep breathing can help improve blood flow and heal the liver slowly over time.

Haan babu, liver me thoda charbi badhne se khoon ke report me upar neeche ho jata hai. Ghabrana nahi hai, bas thoda parhez rakho aur doctor sahab ki baat mano, sab thik ho jayega.

Of course it causes high enzymes, but don't try to self-treat this with home remedies. High enzymes mean there is active inflammation in the liver. Go consult a qualified doctor and get a proper prescription.

My SGPT went up because my diet basically consisted of midnight Maggie and cold coffees. When the liver is struggling, the enzymes go crazy. Now I’m trying to eat real food, though my sleeping routine is still a mess.

I was just reading about this yesterday because my cousin got his reports. Apparently, even mild fatty liver can make SGOT/SGPT shoot up because the liver cells are under pressure. Better to get a doctor's advice on how to bring them down.
