Can fasenra cause cancer?

My pulmonologist started me on Fasenra injections for my severe asthma last month. While reading up on it, I saw some discussions online about it potentially causing cancer. Is there any truth to this or should I not worry?

Honestly, searching side effects of biologics like Fasenra at 2 AM is a one-way ticket to sleepless nights. There is no strong medical proof linking Fasenra directly to cancer in general studies. Go sleep and ask your pulmonologist instead of letting Google scare you.

Reading the warning leaflets of these medicines will make you feel like you are writing your own will! Relax, Fasenra is a very targeted therapy and doesn't just go around causing cancer. Discuss your fears with your doc, they will reassure you.

I know exactly how terrifying it is to read about serious potential side effects of injections. It makes your heart race and you feel like avoiding the medicine entirely. However, clinical trials haven't shown any clear link to cancer, so please talk to your doctor to put your mind at ease.

I completely understand the sheer panic you feel when starting a new injection like Fasenra. I cried for days worrying about all the long-term side effects and cancer risks. But my doctor sat me down and explained that the actual risk is extremely low and the benefit for severe asthma is massive.

My elders always tell me to avoid modern heavy medicines, but for severe asthma, biologics like Fasenra are a lifesaver. There is no clear scientific evidence that it causes cancer. It is best to trust your specialist who understands your lung health completely.
