Can exercise help thyroid function?

I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and I'm trying to understand all the factors that can affect my thyroid function. I've been told that exercise is generally good for health. Does exercise specifically help improve thyroid function?

For my hypothyroid, I started doing light yoga like Sarvangasana and drank coriander seed water in the morning. A simple 30 minute walk really helps activate the slow metabolism, so definitely try to stay active.

I totally get it, dealing with thyroid fluctuations makes you feel tired and unmotivated. Strength training twice a week helped me manage my weight, but listen to your body and don't overexert.

Honestly, when I was diagnosed, I was so fatigued all the time. But even starting with short walks really helped boost my energy levels and metabolism. Don't stress, just find any physical activity you actually enjoy.

Thyroid issues require a disciplined life. Gentle morning walks in fresh air and doing deep breathing exercises help support the body, but make sure you take your empty stomach medicine on time without fail.

Look, exercise won't cure your thyroid completely on its own, but it is super important to manage the weight gain and sluggishness. Get your blood tests done every few months and keep moving.

My mother always tells me to practice pranayama for thyroid health, which is quite relaxing. However, always trust your doctor's dosage for thyroid hormone replacement and use exercise as a supportive tool.
