Can endometriosis cause kidney stones?

My doctor told me endometriosis can spread to other organs if not managed properly. I'm worried about kidney issues, as my sister had kidney stones recently. Is there any chance that endo can lead to kidney stone formation?

Endometriosis doesn't directly cause kidney stones. However, endo on the ureters can mimic kidney stone pain, so you need an MRI or ultrasound to find the real culprit.

No, endometriosis does not cause kidney stones to form. But if endo blocks the urinary tubes, it can cause kidney swelling which is very painful, so please see a urologist.

Don't worry too much. They are two different medical issues, though deep pelvic pain from endo can easily feel like kidney pain. Just get a proper doctor's opinion.

I was looking this up recently because my sister has endo and back pain. Turns out they aren't directly linked, but the symptoms can feel very similar.

When I visited my doctor at Apollo, she clearly explained that endo doesn't cause stones. If you have severe lower back or side pain, ask your doctor for an abdominal scan.

As if having endo wasn't enough, imagining kidney stones too is a nightmare! Thankfully they aren't directly related, but both definitely ruin your sleep.

There is no scientific proof linking endo to kidney stones. Don't rely on random internet threads, go to a proper clinic and get a urine test done.
