Can endometriosis cause back pain?

For months now, I've had really bad lower back pain, especially during my cycle, it's unbearable. My gynaecologist mentioned endometriosis as a possibility for my pain. Could endo actually be the reason for my constant back ache?

Yes, endometriosis is very well-known for causing severe lower back pain, especially during periods. I face pelvic issues too, and the radiating back pain can be quite intense.

Definitely, back pain is a major symptom of endo because the tissue can irritate surrounding nerves. Tracking your pain patterns on a health app can help your doctor diagnose it better.

Lower back pain from endo can be managed with very gentle stretches like Marjariasana if your body allows it. However, always listen to your doctor first.

I totally get it, that deep pelvic and lower back pain is honestly the worst and so exhausting. Please don't suffer in silence, talk to your doctor about pain management.

Yes, my sister has endo and her back pain is sometimes worse than her stomach cramps. Using a hot water bottle and taking warm baths really helps her manage.

While back pain is very common with endometriosis, please get a proper evaluation to rule out any spinal or kidney-related issues just to be safe.

Hormones affect everything, from sugar to pelvic pain. A clean diet helps with inflammation, but you need your gynecologist to guide you on endo back pain.

My back hurts so much right before my periods that I can barely sit. Does anyone else with endometriosis experience this exact same radiating pain?

Yes, chronic pelvic inflammation often radiates to the lower back. If your doctor allows, some light walking can help improve circulation and ease the stiffness.

Haan na, endo can cause terrible back pain because of the constant inflammation in the pelvic region. Heating pads help temporarily, but proper treatment is must.

Oh, absolutely! Endo back pain makes you feel like a 90-year-old trying to stand up after sitting for five minutes. Hot water bag is my best friend now.

I just had laparoscopy for my endo last month, and my chronic lower back pain has finally reduced so much. It is definitely a direct symptom of those lesions.
