Can eliquis cause joint pain?

I've been taking Eliquis for a few months now for a blood clotting issue, and recently I've started experiencing significant joint pain in my knees and hands. I'm trying to figure out if it's just old age or related to the medicine. Can Eliquis be a cause for joint pain?

I was put on Eliquis after my deep vein thrombosis, and within two weeks, my knees and shoulders started aching badly. I thought it was just weakness, but my doctor confirmed it can be a side effect and adjusted my routine. Definitely mention this to your physician.

While joint pain is not the most common side effect of blood thinners like Eliquis, some patients do report it. Please don't stop taking the medication on your own, as that can be dangerous. Just call your doctor's clinic and let them know about the pain.

Haan yaar, my mother also faced this issue when she started Eliquis, na. Her back and knees started hurting quite a bit out of nowhere. We discussed it with her doctor, and they managed to guide us properly without stopping the medicine.

I totally get it, dealing with joint pain while already recovering from a condition that requires blood thinners is so difficult. It makes you feel very uneasy. Please don't suffer in silence, talk to your doctor so they can help you feel more comfortable.

According to some patient forums and drug databases, joint and muscle pain are noted as occasional side effects of Eliquis. It's best to log when the pain started on a health app and share that timeline with your doctor during your next visit.
