Can ekg detect heart attack?

My uncle recently had a heart attack, and the doctors did an EKG right away. I'm trying to understand how these tests work. Can an EKG actually detect if someone is currently having a heart attack?

Yes, bro, it definitely can. When my uncle had sudden chest pain, they did an EKG in the ER and immediately found out he was having a heart attack. It is the first thing doctors check.

Of course it can, it tracks your heart's electrical activity. If you or anyone is feeling chest pressure or pain right now, don't sit and read online. Go straight to a hospital and get an EKG done immediately.

Yes, it can. Honestly, after staying up all night drinking five cups of coffee, I feel like I need an EKG myself just to make sure my heart isn't running a marathon!

Yes, an EKG is the primary tool used to detect an ongoing heart attack by showing abnormal electrical pathways. Even some modern smartwatches can detect irregular rhythms, but for a proper diagnosis, a hospital-grade 12-lead EKG is absolutely essential.
