Can eczema spread to other people?

My wife has a flare-up of eczema, and we have young kids at home. We're careful, but I'm still wondering if eczema is contagious. Can it spread to other people in the family through close contact?

No, it does not spread to other people. It is a skin condition, not some infectious virus or flu. You don't need to isolate yourself or worry about passing it to your family, just get it treated.

No, eczema is completely non-contagious, so it won't spread to anyone else. However, if your skin is cracked and gets a secondary bacterial infection, that infection can be risky. Always get it checked by a doctor.

It is 100% non-contagious, so don't waste money buying expensive disinfectant soaps or keeping separate utensils. Just plan your budget for a good dermatologist consultation and a basic moisturizer.

No, it doesn't spread by touch at all. You can sit with your children and family without any worry. Just apply simple coconut oil on the dry areas to keep your skin soft and comfortable.
