Can eczema look like hives?

I've had eczema for a while, but sometimes the rash becomes really bumpy and raised, almost like hives, and it's extremely itchy. I'm confused if it's still eczema or something else. Can eczema sometimes look exactly like hives?

They can look similar but the treatment is completely different. Don't trust random home remedies you read online for this. Go to a certified dermatologist and get a proper diagnosis done so you don't mess up your skin.

Please get it checked by a professional. I once ignored a rash thinking it was just minor hives, and it turned out to be severe eczema that spread everywhere because I delayed treatment. Don't make the same mistake I did.

I totally panicked when I saw raised red bumps on my arms, thinking it was some scary allergic hives reaction. Turns out it was just an acute flare-up of eczema. It calmed down completely in a few days with a simple prescribed cream.

Haan na, starting mein confuse ho sakte hain. Hives thoda quickly upar aate hain aur chale jate hain, but eczema stays longer and is very dry. Dr. ko dikha lo, clear ho jayega tension.

I have had skin sensitivities due to hormonal issues, and they can look very confusing. Eczema sometimes mimics hives, but it has a different texture. It is best to consult a professional to get the right treatment.

They both look red and itchy, so it is easy to get confused. Don't worry too much. Keep the skin cool and don't scratch it. Let a doctor take a look at it once so we can treat it correctly.

I literally just had this confusion last week. I had raised red welts and thought it was hives from food, but the dermatologist told me it was an eczema flare-up. Got a soothing cream and it is much better now.

At my age, my skin likes to play guessing games. One day it looks like hives, the next day it is eczema. Honestly, just go to a doctor, let them figure out what it is while we take some rest.

Both conditions can cause redness on the body, but with patience and a calm mind, we can find the right path. Take care of your health, eat simple foods, and let a doctor guide you on what it exactly is.

They can look very similar during the initial stage. Because the management for hives and eczema is totally different, I would always suggest getting a dermatologist to confirm it instead of self-treating.

Actually yaaar, it can look quite similar if the eczema bumps are swollen. But hives usually disappear within 24 hours whereas eczema is super dry and stays for days. Just see a dermatologist to be sure.

In my years, I have seen both these skin issues. Hives usually appear suddenly and fade fast, while eczema is more stubborn and dry. No need to worry, with age you learn these can be easily managed with a doctor's advice.
