Can ecg predict heart attack?

There's a history of heart disease in my family, and I'm trying to be proactive about my health. If I get an ECG done regularly, can it predict if I'm at risk of having a heart attack in the future, or does it only show current issues?

Bro, my dad had an ECG last month because of chest tightness. It doesn't really predict a future heart attack, but it shows if there is some current issue or past damage. Better to get it checked by a real doc.

Don't rely on random internet advice or smart watches that claim to predict heart attacks. An ECG only captures a specific moment. You need proper blood tests like Troponin or a TMT test, so please consult a cardiologist.

An ECG is very cheap, usually costing around 200-400 rupees at any local clinic. While it doesn't predict a future attack perfectly, it is a very cost-effective first step before going for expensive tests like an Eco or Angiography.

Keep your mind peaceful and don't worry too much. An ECG is just a tool to help doctors understand your physical body. Take care of your breathing and trust the medical experts.

An ECG measures the electrical activity of your heart in the present moment, but cannot predict the future. Practicing daily pranayama and a calm lifestyle keeps the heart steady and reduces overall stress.

I panicked so much when my doctor ordered an ECG, thinking something was wrong. But it turned out to be normal acidity. They explained it doesn't predict an attack but checks your current heart rate. It is very reassuring to get it done.

Haan bhai, ECG future predict nahi kar sakta na. Wo toh bas current condition batata hai. Agar chest mein pain ya heavy feel ho raha hai toh dactar ke paas hi jaana chahiye.

I had a normal ECG just two days before my minor attack. My doctor explained that ECG is not a predictive tool. If you have chronic chest pain or high cholesterol, get a proper stress test (TMT) or angiogram done.

Exactly, ECG cannot predict a future attack. If you have symptoms, please get a proper clinical evaluation from a cardiologist.

No, an ECG cannot predict a heart attack before it happens. It only detects a heart attack that is currently happening or has already happened.

If ECG could predict future heart attacks, doctors would be fortune tellers! It is just a snapshot of your heart's current beats. Keep your stress low and don't worry unnecessarily.

Hamare yahan chote sheher mein sabse pehle ECG hi karte hain koi takleef ho toh. Ye aane wale daure ko nahi batata, par agar koi takleef chal rahi hai toh dactar turant samajh jaate hain.
