Can eating too much cause vomiting?

Sometimes, especially at parties or family gatherings, I tend to overeat a lot. After such meals, I often feel extremely full and sometimes even end up vomiting. Is it common for eating too much food to cause vomiting?

I used to ignore vomiting after heavy meals thinking I just overate. It turned out to be a severe gallbladder issue that required surgery. Please go see a doctor if this is happening regularly to you.

Yes, overeating stretches the stomach and forces the esophageal sphincter open, leading to acid reflux and vomiting. Eating light, plant-based meals in smaller portions can easily prevent this discomfort.

In yoga, we practice Mitahara, which means eating only until your stomach is half full. Overeating disrupts the natural flow of Prana and digestion, leading to physical rejection like vomiting. Listen to your body's natural signals.

I used to throw up after heavy buffet dinners all the time. The trick is to stop eating the moment you feel 80% full and avoid lying down immediately after meals. Walk slowly for 10 minutes to help digestion.

Actually yaar, when we go out with friends we eat so much junk without realizing, and then the stomach just gives up. If you are feeling pukish, just drink some lime water and rest. Don't force yourself to eat more.
