Can early pregnancy cause yeast infection?

Just found out I'm pregnant, it's very early days. But I've been feeling a bit itchy and uncomfortable down there recently. Wondering if this could be related to being newly pregnant or something else.

Do not search for random ointment names online for a yeast infection now. The wrong cream can be harmful during early pregnancy. Go to your gynecologist and get a proper prescription.

My wife had this exact issue in her second month. The doctor told us that increased discharge and hormonal changes make yeast grow faster. She got a safe cream and it cleared up fast.

Yes, estrogen spikes alter the vaginal pH, making you more prone to yeast infections. It is best to consult your obstetrician for a safe antifungal prescription rather than using OTC products.

As if the constant nausea and lack of sleep weren't enough, my wife also had to deal with this annoying itchiness early on. Pregnancy really keeps you on your toes. Definitely get the doc to fix it quickly.

Hey, don't stress too much about this! Yeast infections are super common because of all the extra moisture and hormones. Just wear loose cotton underwear and let your doc know so they can give you relief.
