Can ear pain cause jaw pain?

A sharp pain in my ear for the last two days has now made my jaw feel stiff and painful too. The pain seems connected. Can ear pain sometimes spread and cause jaw pain?

Welcome to getting older, where an earache somehow makes your whole jaw ache and you can't even chew your favorite rotis! Nerves are all tangled up in there, so yes, it's very common. Go get some drops from a doc before your whole face starts complaining.

Definitely, referred pain is real and happens when the nerves in the head region overlap. Just make sure to eat soft, protein-rich foods so you don't strain your jaw muscles further while your ear is healing, and get it checked by a doc.

Haan beta, kaan ka dard bilkul jabde tak jata hai kyunki sab nasein ek dusre se judi hoti hain. Garam kapde se thodi sikai kar lo, thoda aaram milega. Par doctor babu ko dikhana mat bhoolna.

Yes, absolutely! I had this last winter during a bad cold. The pressure from the ear infection made my entire jaw throbbing. A quick visit to the ENT and some ear drops sorted it out within three days, so don't worry.

Oh thank goodness, I was searching for this because my left ear has been throbbing and now my jaw hurts when I open my mouth. Does anyone else feel like the pain gets worse at night? I am so worried it's something major.
