Can dry eyes cause pain?

For the last few weeks, my eyes have been feeling really dry, especially after long hours in front of the laptop. Now, along with the dryness, I'm also getting a constant dull ache. Could this pain be because of the dryness only?

Honestly, yes, it can be absolutely exhausting. I used to cry from the frustration because the burning felt like sand was constantly rubbed in my eyes. Please don't suffer silently, get it checked because the constant irritation really drains you mentally.

Haan, bilkul dukh sakta hai. When your eyes get super dry, even blinking starts hurting like crazy, na? Screen time thoda kam karo aur simple lubrication drops doctor se pooch ke start kar do.

I totally get it, the stinging and heaviness make it so hard to focus on work. It is not just minor discomfort, it actually hurts a lot when it gets severe. Try using a warm compress at night, it gave me so much relief.

While dry eyes do cause discomfort and mild pain, you should never self-diagnose when it comes to vision. Please visit an ophthalmologist to rule out any corneal scratches or deeper infections. It is always better to be safe and get a proper prescription.

I had severe dry eye pain and later found out it was linked to my thyroid issues. If this is persistent, please ask your doctor if you need a thyroid panel or other blood tests. Regular checkups are the only way to find the actual root cause.
