Can drinking too much pop cause kidney stones?

My friends and I often drink a lot of 'pop' or fizzy drinks, especially when we hang out or play games. Recently, I heard that drinking too many of these can cause kidney stones. How much is too much, and should I be worried?

Because of my PCOS, I have to be incredibly careful with sugary drinks and inflammation, but I've also read that the phosphoric acid in dark sodas/pop can definitely increase the risk of kidney stones. I'm not a doctor, so I can't say for sure, but maybe try limiting it and drinking more water just to be safe.

Drinking a lot of sweet pop can definitely lead to dehydration and kidney stones. Along with cutting down on those drinks, try to include a 30-minute daily walk or jog in your routine, as staying active helps with blood circulation and overall kidney health. Just confirm with your physician first before starting any new routine.

At my age, my body files a complaint if I even look at a bottle of sweet pop, let alone drink it! These drinks are a direct ticket to kidney stones and joint pain. Trust me, swapping that pop for simple warm water or a lime soda without sugar will save you from a lot of hospital drama.

Having high blood pressure has taught me that what we drink affects our entire body, including the kidneys. Sweet carbonated drinks can strain your filtration system and lead to painful stones. It is highly recommended to get regular urine and kidney checkups, and focus on clean hydration.

I used to love having fizzy pop with my meals, but then a close friend got really painful kidney stones and her doctor blamed the soft drinks. That really scared me, so now I stick to fresh coconut water or normal water. It's a much healthier habit and honestly quite refreshing!

I have been drinking a lot of canned sodas lately because of the hot weather, and now I feel this weird pressure in my lower side. I am really anxious that it might be a kidney stone starting to form. Has anyone else felt this kind of mild ache after drinking too much pop?
