Can drinking coffee cause kidney stones?

My uncle recently had kidney stones, and the doctor advised him to cut down on certain foods and drinks. He specifically mentioned coffee as a potential contributor. I'm a regular coffee drinker, so I'm worried if my habit could lead to kidney stones.

At my age, everything seems to cause some health issue, haha! Coffee actually has oxalates, which can contribute to stones if you drink too much of it and skip water. My advice is simple: enjoy your coffee, but don't forget that water is your kidneys' best friend. Get it checked if it hurts!

Yes, coffee contains oxalates which can increase the risk of kidney stones, especially if you are already prone to them. But if you drink plenty of water throughout the day, the risk is much lower. If you are worried, it's always good to consult a doctor.

Coffee me oxalates hote hain toh stone ka risk thoda badh jata hai, ho na. Isliye hume limit me hi peena chahiye aur bohot saara paani peena chahiye. Agar pehle se stone ka problem hai toh doctor se ek baar diet chart pooch lo.

With PCOS, I try to keep my caffeine intake low anyway to avoid hormone spikes. Coffee has some oxalates which can contribute to kidney stones if your hydration is low. It's safer to stick to 1 cup a day and check with a doctor if you feel any lower back discomfort.

I was researching this because my dad has kidney stones. Some studies actually say moderate coffee might reduce the risk because it makes you pee more, but the oxalates in it can also cause stones if you are dehydrated. It is a bit confusing, so it is best to ask a doctor!

Yes, excessive coffee can contribute to stones because of oxalates, but you don't need to panic and spend a lot on fancy checkups. Just drink more water and limit caffeine. If you get severe side pain, then keep a budget aside for a basic ultrasound scan and visit a general physician.
