Can drinking cause hepatitis c?

My neighbour was diagnosed with Hepatitis C, and he's also known for heavy drinking. I was wondering if his drinking habits could have caused it. Can drinking alcohol directly lead to someone developing Hepatitis C?

Actually, drinking alcohol doesn't directly cause Hepatitis C because that is a viral infection spread through blood-to-blood contact. But drinking can make the liver damage from Hepatitis C much worse, so please be careful and take care of your health! 😊

Nahi yaar, drinking se directly Hepatitis C nahi hota, wo toh ek viral infection hai na. Par haan, agar kisi ko already Hep C hai aur wo drink karega, toh liver bilkul khatam ho jayega. To doctor se consult karo aur checkup karwa lo simple.

Hepatitis C toh blood contact aur needles se spread hota hai, direct alcohol se nahi hota. Haan na, par alcohol peene se liver bohot weak ho jata hai toh risk toh badh hi jata hai. Doctor se checkup karana hi sabse best hai.

Actually yaar, Hepatitis C ek virus se hota hai, heavy drinking se nahi. But if you already have the virus, then drinking alcohol acts like fuel to fire for your liver. You should definitely get a blood test done to see what the actual issue is.

Hey, don't stress too much! Hepatitis C is a virus, so drinking alcohol alone cannot cause it. But yes, alcohol is tough on your liver, so it's always good to drink responsibly and get a proper medical opinion if you are worried about your liver health.

I have been awake since 4 AM reading about medical stuff, and from what I understand, drinking doesn't give you Hepatitis C, a virus does. But honestly, drinking is not going to do your liver any favors anyway. Go to a doctor and let them figure it out while I try to get some sleep.
