Can doctors miss a heart attack?

My uncle had some chest pain and went to the clinic, but they sent him home saying it was acidity. Later he had a severe attack. I am really worried about this; is it possible for doctors to miss something so serious?

Actually, my cardiologist told me that sometimes microvascular heart attacks or silent attacks can be missed on a standard ECG if the blockages are in tiny vessels. He said that is why doctors usually run multiple blood tests like Troponin and sometimes an Echo if the patient has persistent symptoms, even if the first ECG comes out normal.

Honestly, with only 3 hours of sleep, my brain misses my own car keys, so I guess doctors are humans too and can miss things. But seriously, if u have crazy chest pain or sweating, don't just sit there if one doc says it is gas. Go get a second opinion immediately.

It is so incredibly terrifying when you feel like something is terribly wrong but the tests look fine. My uncle went through this where they kept saying it was just anxiety and acidity, but his gut feeling was right and we had to go to a bigger hospital to find the block. Your fear is completely valid, please trust your body.

I completely panicked last year thinking my doctor missed something major because my left arm was tingling. I went to three different clinics, but it turned out to be just a bad cervical muscle spasm and severe gas. It is good to be careful, but sometimes it really is just something minor and we stress ourselves out.

For regular chest tightness from gas, a warm glass of ajwain water works wonders ghar pe. But beta, if there is severe pain going to your arm or neck, or heavy sweating, do not rely on home remedies or wait around. Go straight to a big hospital's emergency room.

This is literally my worst nightmare and I keep searching about this online all the time. If you are feeling any chest tightness or numbness, please go to a well-equipped hospital and ask for a detailed evaluation. Don't worry, just get it checked again for your peace of mind so you can sleep peacefully.
