Can diabetics wear contacts?

I wear contact lenses for my vision, and I was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. My friend told me that eye complications are common with diabetes. I'm wondering if it's still safe for me to continue wearing contacts.

I was researching this because my friend with Type 1 diabetes wanted to get lenses. It turns out diabetics have a slightly higher risk of corneal infections and dry eyes. It is definitely possible to wear them, but you need to be extra hygienic.

At our age, we prefer simple glasses because they are safe and easy. If you are diabetic, your eyes can dry out quickly, and contact lenses might cause irritation or scratches on the eye. Wash your eyes with cold water regularly and talk to your eye specialist first.

I wear contacts daily and have diabetes too! You just have to be super disciplined about hygiene. Never sleep in them, keep your lenses clean, and use hydrating eye drops if your eyes feel dry. It is totally manageable.

Hey, diabetics can wear contacts, but since high sugar can slow down corneal healing, any small scratch can become a big issue. Stick to daily disposable lenses if possible to minimize infection risks, and always keep your prescription updated.

I am not a doctor, but I have been diabetic for ten years and wear contact lenses. I noticed my eyes feel a bit drier when my blood sugar levels spike. I always keep my spectacles handy just in case my eyes need a break.

Diabetic patients are more prone to dry eyes and corneal infections. While you can wear contact lenses, you must have a comprehensive eye exam with an ophthalmologist first to check your corneal health and tear film stability.

Take care of your beautiful eyes with patience and positivity. You can wear lenses, but do not ignore any slight discomfort or redness. Keep your mind calm, stay hydrated, and let your eyes rest when they feel tired.

I am a college student with diabetes and I wear contacts for sports. Honestly, just don't be lazy about cleaning them at night. If my sugar is high, my eyes feel a bit blurry, so I just switch to glasses for a day.

Haha, don't worry, your eyes won't pop out! Yes, you can wear them, but just treat your lenses like premium crystal. Clean hands, clean case, and no sleeping with them on—unless you want to wake up looking like a red-eyed villain!

Yes, you can absolutely wear them! Just make sure your sugar levels are stable because fluctuations can actually change your eye power slightly. Keep them clean and enjoy your clear vision! 👀✨

My teenage daughter is diabetic and wanted contacts for school. Her doctor allowed it but insisted on daily disposables to prevent any risk of infection. It works perfectly for her, we just make sure she doesn't wear them for too many hours.

Haan, bilkul pehan sakte hain contacts, par thoda hygiene ka extra dhyan rakhna padta hai na. If your eyes feel dry or red, immediately lens nikal ke glasses pehan lena. Doctor se ek baar checkup kara lo.
