Can diabetics take tamiflu?

My whole family has come down with the flu, and the doctor suggested Tamiflu for prevention or treatment. As I'm diabetic, I'm concerned if it's safe for me to take it without affecting my blood sugar. Are there any precautions I should know?

Please don't wait or try to self-treat if you have severe flu symptoms. I once ignored a bad fever thinking it would go away, and my diabetes made it turn into a severe chest infection very fast. Go see a doctor immediately; they can prescribe Tamiflu if it is safe for your condition.

I had a bad bout of influenza last year and my doctor prescribed Tamiflu. It is generally safe for diabetics and actually very important to take because flu can cause dangerous sugar spikes. Just make sure to monitor your blood sugar levels more frequently while you are recovering from the illness.

If you have the flu and you are diabetic, you don't have time to waste with trial and error because infections mess up your insulin levels quickly. Get a doctor's appointment online or offline today. If they prescribe Tamiflu, take it exactly as scheduled to get back to work and health quickly.

With both high BP and diabetes, any viral fever can put stress on your heart and vascular system. Tamiflu is often prescribed to prevent flu complications, but you must get your vitals and blood sugar checked by a doctor first before starting the course.

Hey, don't stress too much about this! Tamiflu is a standard antiviral and doctors prescribe it to diabetics all the time to help them fight the flu faster. Just give your doctor a quick call, get the prescription, rest up nicely, and drink lots of warm water, dear.

Bro, my dad is diabetic and he was given Tamiflu when he got a bad flu last season. It worked completely fine for him and didn't cause any major sugar issues. Just don't buy it over the counter, get a proper dose from your doc first.

When you have the flu, eating healthy becomes such a task because everything tastes like cardboard! My doctor said Tamiflu is fine for diabetics, but just make sure you eat some light khichdi or clear soup before taking it so it doesn't upset your stomach.
