Can diabetics take magnesium glycinate?

I've been experiencing muscle cramps and someone suggested magnesium glycinate for better absorption. Since I have type 2 diabetes, I always check before taking anything new. Is magnesium glycinate considered safe for diabetics?

Yes, magnesium glycinate is actually one of the best forms for diabetics because it is highly absorbable and doesn't cause diarrhea like other types. It can help with sleep and muscle cramps, but always check with your doctor for the exact daily dose.

Magnesium glycinate is fine, but sometimes these fancy supplements are quite expensive. You can also get plenty of magnesium by eating pumpkin seeds, almonds, and spinach regularly. If you still want to buy the tablets, just ask your doctor once.

I was thinking of taking magnesium glycinate for my diabetic neuropathy. Has anyone else here tried it? Did it actually help with the nerve pain or cause any stomach upset? I am planning to ask my doctor this week too.

Please don't worry too much about your health, staying calm and positive helps lower your sugar levels naturally. Magnesium glycinate is gentle and helps calm the mind for sleep. Take care of your body and discuss this with your doctor.

I read so many articles saying diabetics are low in magnesium, but I was so scared of side effects. I finally asked my doctor and he said glycinate is very safe for sugar control. If you are nervous like me, just start with a very low dose under supervision.
