Can diabetics have splenda?

I'm trying to cut down on sugar in my tea and coffee, and I've seen a lot of advertisements for Splenda. My friend said it's sugar-free, but I'm not sure if it's safe for diabetics. Can we use Splenda without any issues?

I tried drinking methi water and completely stopping sweet tastes, but it made me miserable. I started using one packet of Splenda in my morning chai and it keeps my cravings in check without affecting my blood sugar levels at all. Just don't overuse it in every meal.

Honestly, working late nights means I need my coffee to survive, and Splenda is the only thing keeping my coffee drinkable without sending my sugars to the moon. It works fine for me, just don't go baking whole cakes with it every day.

I use a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) and I tracked my levels after having Splenda in my tea. It showed absolutely zero spike in my glucose curve. It is a very safe option if you want sweetness without the carb load, but still log your daily food to be sure.

My mom has diabetes and she literally carries Splenda sachets in her purse everywhere we go. It is super convenient for her college reunions and cafes. It doesn't spike her sugar at all, so it's a solid win.

Splenda is safe for sugar levels, but remember that fitness is the ultimate controller. If your doctor permits, try to do a brisk 15-minute walk after having any sweet treat, even if it uses artificial sweeteners. It helps with insulin sensitivity a lot!

Splenda is fine occasionally, but when you have both thyroid and diabetes, gut health is very sensitive and sweeteners can sometimes cause bloating. Keep a track of how your digestion feels and make sure to get your HbA1c and TSH tested every three months.
