Can diabetics have sour cream?

I'm trying to experiment a bit more with my cooking to make healthy meals interesting. I saw a recipe that uses sour cream. Can diabetics consume sour cream without affecting their blood sugar too much?

Honestly, I am too tired to cook fancy diabetic meals, but sour cream is actually low in carbs so it is a lifesaver. I just dollop it on some roasted veggies when I don't have the energy to make proper subji. Just watch the fat content if you are trying to lose weight.

Instead of store-bought sour cream which has preservatives, you can hang normal homemade curd in a muslin cloth to make hung curd. It tastes exactly the same and is much better for digestion. But if your diabetes is uncontrolled or you have chest heaviness, skip high-fat dairy and consult your doctor immediately.

Hey bro, don't stress too much about small things like sour cream. It has very few carbs, so a spoonful on your soup or salad is perfectly fine. Just don't eat the whole tub and you will be absolutely okay!

I have lived with diabetes for twenty-five years now and learned that fat doesn't spike sugar like rice or roti does. Sour cream in moderation is quite safe as it keeps you full. Just ensure you keep doing your daily walks to manage your cholesterol levels too.

Sour cream is a western food, our traditional thick dahi or fresh makhan made at home is much better for health. If you must eat it, make sure it is fresh and not cold straight from the fridge, as cold dairy can disturb your digestion and body balance.
