Can diabetics have peaches?

Peaches are in season now, and they look so tempting. I have diabetes, so before I buy them, I wanted to confirm if they are a safe fruit choice for me.

Peaches actually have a relatively low glycemic index and contain good fiber, which is positive. However, the exact portion size should be decided based on your current HbA1c levels, so consulting your doctor is always the best path.

Yes, you can have a small fresh peach occasionally. Just avoid the canned ones in sweet syrup as they have too much sugar. Take care of yourself.

My dad has diabetes and he eats peaches sometimes during the season. Just make sure they are fresh and not those preserved canned ones, because those are loaded with sugary syrup.

Fresh fruits are nature's gifts, but we must consume them in moderation. A small, ripe peach in the morning can be very refreshing. Pair it with a calm mind and regular morning pranayama to keep your energy balanced.

I know how stressful it is to double-check every single fruit before eating, it really makes you anxious. Honestly, a small fresh peach is usually fine because of the fiber, but just eat half first and see how you feel.
