Can diabetics have orange juice?

I used to drink a glass of orange juice every morning. After my diabetes diagnosis, I stopped, but I miss it. Is it really bad for sugar levels?

I really worry about this because even natural juices have so much concentrated sugar without the fiber. My uncle had a huge spike after just one glass of fresh orange juice. Maybe ask your doctor first, or just eat a whole orange instead to be safe?

Honestly, packaged or even fresh orange juice spikes sugar levels way too quickly. When you're busy, grabbing juice seems easy, but eating a whole orange is much better because of the pulp. Skip the liquid sugar, it's not worth the risk.

Bro, straight up avoid the juice. I drank sweet lime juice once thinking it's healthy, and my sugar shot up instantly. Eat the actual fruit instead, the fiber in it slows down the sugar absorption.

I tried substituting juice with home-squeezed options, but liquid sugars are tough to manage for diabetes. If you really crave that citrus taste, try having a glass of warm lemon water with a pinch of rock salt. It's refreshing and won't touch your sugar levels.

Every time I see juice, I feel so tempted but then I get scared of the spike. Does anyone else also feel super sluggish if they have even a half glass of orange juice? I've completely stopped keeping it at home now.
