Can diabetics have coffee?

I start my day with a cup of black coffee, and sometimes have another in the afternoon. My neighbor said it might affect my sugar levels because I am diabetic. Can diabetics have coffee daily?

In our home, morning filter coffee is a must, and my diabetic wife still enjoys her cup. However, our family doctor advised us to prepare it with very little low-fat milk and absolutely no sugar. Please check with your doctor to see what fits your health profile.

Black coffee is actually great as a pre-workout drink because it has zero carbs and boosts your energy. Just avoid adding milk, sugar, or flavored syrups which are loaded with empty calories. Pair your black coffee with a good exercise routine for best results.

I used to drink multiple cups of sweet coffee daily, ignoring my frequent thirst and fatigue until my sugar levels spiked dangerously high. Don't ignore these habits. Go get a proper HbA1c test done, and let your doctor advise you on coffee and sugar.

You can definitely have coffee, yaar. But actually, caffeine can sometimes affect insulin sensitivity in some people, so don't drink too much of it. Just stick to one or two cups of black coffee daily and you are good to go.

My dad is diabetic and he loves his evening coffee. We just switched him to black coffee with a tiny bit of stevia, and his sugar levels have been completely stable. It's a very simple and practical adjustment you can easily make!

I have had diabetes for over twenty-five years, and my morning cup of sugarless coffee has never caused me any issues. Just keep it simple, avoid fancy high-calorie cafe drinks, and lead a disciplined life with healthy home food.
